You're never too old to climb a tree...

What an adventure we had in our village one day! We had been talking about how many of the trees in the village would make great climbing trees. We kept talking about it and talking about it but never did anything.

Until one special day - my birthday - we decided that we should stop just talking about climbing the tree and actually do it! So we did!! We picked the tree closest to the well in the village and made our way up. And believe me, it was no easy task wearing a wrap skirt!!

The kids all thought it was hilarious to see us climbing up the tree...as did the many adults that came to the well while we were up there. One man told us we looked like monkeys...big monkeys, but monkeys nonetheless!!!

I am convinced that there are some things a person will never outgrow and climbing trees is one of them!!

Oh, I don't know, I might be too old to climb a tree. I haven't tried for very many years. Hmm... what tree could I climb around here?

These are fun pictures! How high off the ground were you? Climbing might not be as much as a problem for me as finding a way down!

Rachel, you and your family were at our Calhoun Baptist Church this morning. I enjoyed you and your stories and adventures in your mission for our Lord. I am the woman that ask you if you got to see or be around many of the animals in Africa. Thank you so much for loving the Lord!
    Love and Prayers,
